Day 1 – Auckland City Sights Morning Tour Departs 9:45am, returns 12:45pm

From bustling streets to panoramic harbour views, spend a morning getting to know Auckland city's scenic highlights. Travel through the city centre and fashionable Ponsonby to the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge, enjoying views of the Hauraki Gulf and city skyline. Visit the Viaduct Harbour and Auckland's famous Queen Street before continuing to the Auckland Domain, the city's oldest park. Enjoy a short break for morning tea (own expense) in Parnell Village, a boutique shopping haven. Then take a trip along scenic Tamaki Drive to Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park. From this tranquil point you can look out over the picturesque Eastern Bays, Auckland city and the sparkling Waitemata Harbour, before returning along the waterfront to downtown Auckland.

Day 2 – Waitomo Caves Tour and Rotorua Attractions Departs 7:30am, returns 8:10pm

Experience glowworms, world-famous limestone formations, Maori culture and geothermal wonders on this full-day sightseeing tour. Travel into the King Country in the heart of the North Island for a guided tour through the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Over 45 minutes you'll explore underground caverns and see amazing limestone stalactites and stalagmites, all formed millions of years ago. Travel by boat beneath a canopy of twinkling lights in the Glowworm Grotto for a magical end to your visit. Enjoy a picnic-style lunch (vegetarian and other dietary options available on request) as we make our way to Rotorua. Here you can experience rural New Zealand with a visit to the Agrodome, where you can tour a working farm on an all-terrain vehicle, see sheep-shearing and a sheep dog trial in action.

At Te Puia, one of New Zealand's foremost cultural venues, see and hear traditional song and dance at a Māori cultural performance. See how master artists are passing on their traditional skills to future generations at Te Puia's woodcarving and weaving schools, then take a guided tour of the bubbling mudpools and active geysers in the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley. This geothermal area is home to the famous Pohutu geyser, which unleashes vapour jets up to 30 metres high. A delicious afternoon snack, including traditional Maori rewana bread, can be enjoyed as you return to Auckland.
