Wanaka River Journeys begins your day with the thrill and excitement of jet boating one of the most spectacular glacier fed rivers in New Zealand. The pristine and everchanging waters of the Matukituki River flow past towering mountains and waterfalls, hanging glaciers and Lord of The Rings film locations as you journey deep into Mt Aspiring National Park. Complete the experience with a guided wilderness walk through
an ancient native beech forest to a hidden waterfall.
Then your helicopter arrives to whisk you away on an awe inspiring flight further into the Mount Aspiring National Park, flying overhead lush green valleys, rivers, waterfalls and vast hanging Glaciers. Landing in the snow at approx. 5000feet provides spectacular views of Mount Aspiring and surrounding glaciers. Have fun in the snow before lifting off and returning to the river to complete your jet-boat adventure.
Enjoy a relaxing riverbank picnic lunch following your jet boat journey. Your afternoon 4WD adventure begins on the shore of Lake Wanaka with Ridgeline Adventures 4WD safari. Travel private back roads of West Wanaka Station, a 30000- acre deer farm steeped in history and bordering the majestic snow-capped peaks and glaciers of Mt Aspiring National Park. A leisurely drive brings you to a stunning viewpoint overlooking Lake Wanaka for refreshments and scenic nature walk. Pure wilderness, history and discovery at New Zealand’s natural best.

Cancellation policy
- Where the date of cancellation is a date 45 days or more before the start of the tour, the cancellation fee will be equivalent to the deposit paid
- Where the date of cancellation is a date 30 to 45 days before the start of the tour the cancellation fee shall be 25% of the contract price
- Where the date of cancellation is a date 7 to 30 days before the start of the tour the cancellation fee shall be 50% of the contract price
- Where the date of cancellation is a date 7 days or less before the start of the tour the cancellation fee shall be 100% of the contract price
